Arun Sharma

Arun’s extensive experience stretches across both commercial and not-for-profit sectors. Following a ten-year career in the private sector, he held senior fundraising positions at Marie Curie, Shelter and Age UK. In 2013 Arun joined the ITV Corporate Responsibility team, where he helped grow their philanthropic giving and community investment. Arun set up TFA Limited in 2015 and now works closely with companies, NGO’s and Government Departments providing strategic and operational support to help them strengthen their philanthropic activity, fundraising and talent development.

Justin Leahy

Justin has a commercial background and was part of the team at Oliver Wyman developing their positioning offer. His experience cuts across business strategy and positioning, through business development and communications. Since founding TFA with Arun Sharma, Justin has been specialising in undertaking fundraising assessments, which help give not-for-profit organisations a frank, yet strategic appraisal of the whole organisation’s ability to fundraise effectively. Justin is also a strong facilitator and helps not-for-profit teams build consensus around key issues such as business strategy, organisational positioning and theory of change.

Rebecca Millburn

Rebecca Millburn

Rebecca has specialised in the non-for-profit sector with over 10 years of experience working within fundraising.  With a career involved in many successful national and international charities (British Heart Foundation, Save the Children, Marie Curie Cancer Care, The Institute of Cancer Research) she has gained a breath of knowledge of all types of fundraising.  More recently Rebecca headed up the Corporate Account Management team at Save the Children where she lead and grew a team of more than 30 fundraisers. Her leadership has delivered market leading multi-million pound strategic global partnerships (Tesco, GSK, IKEA, Reckitt Benckiser) raising in excess of £35m.  Whether she is leading, mentoring or motivating a teams operational or strategic delivery Rebecca is at home supporting not for profits achieve their goals.

Huw had 13 years experience heading up a team working for a global marketing and technology agency helping many global brands develop, build, maintain and support their websites along with training and multi language website rollouts using various platforms. Huw brings with him a wealth of experience of team management and building client relationships. Huw has been involved with teams who have jointly and successfully completed various unique challenges raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for several charities. Before having a career change into the global marketing and technology company, Huw had a successful career as a chef from running his own catering company and Pub to working at the Savoy Hotel.

Sonya Timms

Sonya is a senior relationship fundraiser who has extensive experience working across multiple income streams. She has led major donor and special events teams at Marie Curie Cancer Care, NSPCC and Comic Relief securing seven figure gifts and delivering high end events raising over £1 million. As Director at Magic Bus UK she developed multi-million pound strategic partnerships with corporates, trusts and foundations and implemented a new major donor programme. Associate directoR - Statutory, trusts & foundations

Jane Tingle

Jane has nearly twenty years’ experience of raising funds from grant-giving bodies in the not-for-profit sector. After heading up the trusts and foundation team at Addaction, she spent a decade at Farm Africa, during which time she quadrupled income from trusts and foundations and managed a team responsible for raising £7 million from UK, US and European trusts and foundations, as well as bilateral and multilateral donors. An acute attention to detail, coupled with an instinctive flair for crafting stories and summarising complex information, has seen Jane raise funds for a variety of projects: from music in prisons to forest conservation, women’s microcredit to young people’s mental health, agricultural marketing to adults with learning difficulties.

Social Media Manager - Events

George Grant is currently taking a gap year having finished his A-Levels in June 2019. He is working with TFA for a few months before going travelling, in order to gain valuable work experience. His focus will be support with event management, prospect research and developing client relationships.

George has a keen interest in social media and is a frequent user. During his time at TFA, he will be focusing on social media and digital marketing for the event portfolio, but also how this can be used to engage younger audiences for NGO’s.

Associate directoR - Corporate social responsibility

Gary Grange

Gary has worked both in the Public and Private sector but quite unusually for the same company, Royal Mail Group, probable the most community centric company in the UK. Gary worked for Royal Mail for 38 years working in Public Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Business Management and Commercial Compliance. For the past 10 years he was their Head of Community Investment. Working with a UK workforce of over 140,000 people Gary helped create the largest Payroll Giving scheme in the UK and developed partnerships and funding for well over 1,400 charities. In that time, he helped the not for profit sector benefit from over £110m of funding and strategic support. This provided huge impact to not only the charities but people and communities all over the UK and beyond. His drive and knowledge created a number of award-winning initiatives and his reputation in the sector is second to none. He has an absolute believe that no cause is to small and no challenge to big and has shown that by working together, the business and charity sectors can come up with innovative solutions and tackle any problem through a shared desire to make a difference.

Helen specialises in bid management. Mark Clemmit has a broadcast career that started more than 30years ago.  Renowned for his relaxed access all areas style he has been a regular on BBC One, BBC Sport and ITV. In addition he is one of the longest established voices on BBC Radio 5 Live and has hosted the station’s flagship 5 Live Sport programme. James Spears 

James has over 16 years’ experience in fundraising and marketing. After a number of senior fundraising roles at Shelter, James went on to be Assistant Director at Clic Sargent. Brian Curran

Brian experience spans across both the public and charity sector. After starting his working career in residential social work, Brian moved into the charity sector and has held senior fundraiser roles for the last 26 years. Working for organisations such as Community Service Volunteers, Age Concern, Heart Research UK, Marie Curie, Barnsley Hospice and Candlelighters, Brian has worked and managed corporate, community and capital appeal teams. He is used to working with individuals at every level and his experience and input into fundraising has been recognised by the Institute of Fundraising in Yorkshire & Humberside when he was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising Award earlier this year.
